No it is not necessary to be able to swim. We use stable double kayaks on our trips or single kayaks if preferred. We always wear personal flotation devices on the water and our trips are always tailored to match your ability. We only use high quality kayaks and equipment, and our guides are highly trained to ensure a safe experience.
Of course, your own gear is often going to be most comfortable for you, however for safety reasons all equipment must be approved by our guides before getting on the water.
We are constantly watching weather forecasts and conditions. Rain usually won’t stop us but in the case of high winds we may have to cancel a trip from time to time. On these rare occasions you will get a full refund or you may re-book at a later date when conditions are more favourable, whichever suits better.
